Question 3: It states that the 1 padded compartment is designed for 14" laptop. Would my 15.6" laptop fit into the padded compartment that has the sticking band?

Answer: The padded compartment with a velcro fits up to 14 inch laptop, the main compartment fits up to 15.6 inch laptop without velcro but it also could hold the item safely.
